We are nestled right in the middle of the Mattole Valley on the Mattole Road. It takes about an hour and a half travel on the Mattole Road to reach us whether you leave from Ferndale and cruise along the beach, or go through the State Park. There is no cell service on either route, so we recommend downloading our detailed directions.
From 3p on Friday through 12p on Sunday, guests will enjoy five meals, three snacks, and special treats.
One hour professional massage is included. There’s up to 10 arts and crafts projects to do and take home.
There are no additional charges or fees lurking.
MRCR does not serve or sell alcohol or cannabis, but guests are welcome to bring their own drinks, etc. within reason. Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
Bring blankets and a pillow. Our foam bunks have sheets only.

Hello Friends!

Take a few days for yourself to unplug and relax. We have gathered a team of talented women artists, chefs and massage therapists, then secured a little piece of heaven for us all at the Mattole River Camp.

When you get to the river on Friday afternoon there will be snacking, crafting and settling in to your cabins before dinner. Then it’s all relaxation and fun. You’ll enjoy a one hour professional massage and so much crafting … Friday evening, all day and evening on Saturday through brunch on Sunday.

All our artist led activities happen as multi-hour open drop in sessions, so you can relax and take your time. Follow your inspiration from one fun project to the next. Start a needle felting project before lunch, switch to Sparkle Buffet, then head back over to finish later. Bring your new Kumihimo loom to the river while the gelli prints are drying. Spend the evening taking that one project you really enjoyed to the next level while hanging out

Choose Your Little Cabin in the Woods

Sweet 16 Sleepover in the Lodge - The Tan Oak Lodge has bunk beds for up to 16 guests. The wood stove keeps us warm, as does the fact that there could be up to 8 people in one room! ADA accessible rooms, restrooms and showers. Closest to the coffee!

Chilling in the Sun Cabins - In the Sun Cabins, one or two share a room with two or four sharing a restroom. These are clean and cozy, but have no heat or insulation. If you are comfortable in your thirty degree bag, and would rather sleep away from the crowd, this could be for you.
