Executive Director
Mattole River Camp and Retreat (MRCR), in Petrolia, California seeks an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (ED).
MRCR is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation located in Humboldt County, 50 miles southwest of Eureka in the heart of the beautiful and remote Lost Coast. The camp sits on the bank of the Mattole River and has a 60 year history operating as a camp and retreat center on property owned by the Presbytery of the Redwoods.
The ED will report to the board of directors and will be responsible for overall leadership and management of MRCR. This responsibility includes implementing the vision for the organization, leading and inspiring the staff and volunteers and supporting the development of the camp community and our community beyond camp boundaries.
The ED will also be responsible for overall business operations, including financial management, facility management, program development, marketing, fundraising, grant writing and support of volunteers. The successful candidate should have past experience managing a nonprofit. The ED needs to reside close to the camp and we have a rental option to live on-site. The minimum salary is $68,400 and although this is a full-time exempt position, part-time proposals will be considered.
