Mattole River Camp and Retreat

Our Mission:

“Provide a remote space along the Mattole River for groups to gather and experience spiritual reflection and growth, to encourage stewardship of our natural resources through ecological education and action, and to strengthen our relationships with one another and our diverse communities.”“

Mattole River Camp offers many amenities for both indoor and outdoor campers:

• A private swimming hole on the Mattole River
• A main lodge with a large meeting/dining room and a wrap-around deck with picnic tables
• A large campfire pit ring with benches
• A playing field, volleyball court, horseshoes, and a low-profile obstacle course
• Private sleeping cabins with full bathrooms and hot showers
• ADA approved sleeping rooms in the main lodge with full bath, and hot showers
• A fully-equipped, commercially-certified kitchen, including:
  • Refrigerators and a freezer
  • Commercial sanitizer for dishes
  • Six-burner stove with large griddle
  • Double oven
  • Coffee pots
